We experienced what authentic accommodation and a passionately personal service means in Morzine. Le Passe Montagne is a Bed & Breakfast that offers spacious apartments and chambres d’hôtes, together with an abundant breakfast every morning. Located right outside the city center (1.7 km), a free shuttle at 200m from the entrance brings you in 5 minutes to the ski lifts. After a jolly day on the slopes, guests can leave their ski gear to dry in a separate room.

This is one of those places where you actually feel like coming home. Martine welcomed us every morning with a smile at Le Passe Montagne! She always made sure we didn’t hit the slopes on an empty stomach. Local charcuteries and herbal teas, home-made smoothies and delicious bread, she has it all! Make sure you bring a piece of paper to write down all the useful tips she shares regarding restaurants, things to do in and around Morzine. Martine really does her utmost to make your stay as comfortable as possible. She even provided us with waterproof backpacks so that we could bring along our cameras to the snowy slopes. As I said, there is no better place to experience Morzine’s hospitality and authenticity than here.

Furthermore, the garden gives the impression of stepping into a winter fairy tale (especially when it’s snowing). Imagine a wooden cabin, pine trees, an old cattle crib reused as a small fountain and cheerful decorations catching the wind on the façade and porch. The icing on the cake is the outdoor Jacuzzi in the middle of the porch overlooking the garden! Remember the saying? ‘When in Rome, do as the Romans do’. Poor yourself a glass of wine and enjoy the warmth of the Jacuzzi while watching the snowflakes covering the garden with a shimmering white coat.
